Conference Theme: The theme of Ninth ICOQM is “Emerging Trends and Challenges in  Teaching and Practicing of Decision Sciences.” The global and knowledge based economy of present day with the infusion of digital technology and network have created new paradigm and challenges for the decision makers for all disciplines. Not only the practice of decision science has changed looking for more innovative and faster ways to make decisions, the teaching of the concepts in the various disciplines of decision making also are changing in the new digital economy of the network world. Advances in technologies and communication media are challenging the old principles and methods of teaching and learning model and new challenges and issues both for teaching and practice of decision science are emerging that need to be addressed to continue successful future growth of the discipline.

   The purpose of ICOQM-9 is to provide a forum that stimulates discussion on how do we teach and practice decision sciences and examine emerging trends and explore future challenges. The conference will also provide opportunities for networking and collaboration amongst scholars from academia, industry and government. In addition to papers on the conference theme, the scholars are also encouraged to submit papers on any aspect of management and business such as accounting, marketing, finance, OB, HRM, MIS, quantitative methods, operations, economics, entrepreneurship, etc.
